Moving Day

No that's not my van, but definitely how it felt. We have been hauling our stuff since last night. Now I am plain over it. Some facts about moving I feel the need to share:

1. You never notice how much stuff you have until you have to move it
2. You never know how much USELESS stuff you have until you have to move it.
3. When moving you have somehow managed to gather much more stuff than you had when you moved in.
4. You can never find boxes. Ever tried to move canned goods with garage bags? We had to because there seemed to a box shortage citywide the last week
5.  Friends suddenly become MIA and never answer their phones
6.  Again the amount of STUFF in general ugh
7. When you have a cat, transport the cat first. Be sure to have a carrier to keep said cat contained. If not kitty will constantly be underfoot and trying to escape via any open door
8. Plan ahead. Nothing like being stuck overnight without clean clothes
9. Please men do not attempt to "couch surf" in the process of moving. It is dangerous, illegal, and I refuse to go to the emergency room with you because your a moron
10. Know that you will be completely, utterly exhausted afterwards.
