"The end of the world is not glamorous. In a matter of days the human race was reduced to nothing more than vicious, flesh hungry creatures. This three part story takes you into the world of the survivors, coming from different generations and different sides of the tracks, they all share one thing in common: who you once were can no longer determine who you will be in the face of catastrophe.
Samson, a once wealthy and powerful criminal defense attorney struggles to keep his family safe and keep his sanity intact when the world comes apart at the seams. Veronica, the high school track star races to get her brother out of the city and into the safety of Franklin Woods. Along the way we come across the struggles of finding solace, finding out who you really are, and making decisions in a post apocalyptic world. The Breadwinner is a three part story and the first book in a planned series that will leave you craving more."

How Did You Get Started Writing?
I have always been a writer. My parents encouraged me to always write. When I was a kid I was the kid who went to basketball camp and writing camp. Never really into arts and crafts lol. I have been in a few bands where I was the lyricist and then in high school I got a job working for a newspaper where I worked for many years. I blog a lot, even if it is just a very opinionated blog that I use for venting purposes, it's good therapy ya know?
Why Did You Pick This Genre?
I picked the post apocalyptic genre because I have a strong interest in dystopian societies. Whether it be historical non fiction or complete fiction. I started reading that sort of genre at a young age and then got sucked in forever.
How Did The "Breadwinner" Get Started?
The Breadwinner was originally a short story I wrote for a competition. I didn't make it into the finals but everyone that read it was really excited about it and wanted more. I couldn't not write The Breadwinner, I couldn't not expand the story and create the whole world of it.
Your Hopes For The Future?
My hope for the future is that I can share my writing with as many people as possible. That I can entertain people and give them something to enjoy and once I'm done with The Breadwinner Trilogy I can move on to creating a whole other world for people to jump into.
Any Future Books?
There are more books in the works. I'm currently a little over halfway through with Haven. Haven is the second book in The Breadwinner Trilogy that picks up where the first book left off. It will be the same format, three separate parts to the book. I am looking at a February 2014 release date.
How Do You Spend Your Spare Time?
When I'm not at work, I write as often as I'm able to. When I'm not writing I'm spending time with my friends and boyfriend. I love to cook, I am a movie buff and of course I love to read.
Background?
I was born and raised in New Jersey. I moved to Florida almost 10 years ago and live on the beach. It's a major tourist town with not much to do, but I love it.
I read this book pretty fast, as I am a horror junkie. Most people when finding that out look at me sideways. I don't know if it is because I am a "girl" or a grown adult, but when they see my Freddie Kruger bookends the conversation sure gets a little slow. Since I was little I have always been drawn towards horror books, movies, and items. It takes a lot to make me cringe. My 13 year old daughter is following in my footsteps now. Kids now days have no idea about the classics like Nightmare On Elm Street, Friday The 13th, Halloween, Candyman, or Poltergeist.
I loved this book. It is very unique in it's storytelling. The chapters rotate characters and give a small glimpse in how the previous characters got where they were. Action packed, this book kept your attention all the way to the end. You meet many different people along the way. Some you hate, some you resent, some you love, some you almost cry when they fall victim to the undead. I didn't want to put it down. I was glad there was going to be more books with this, because I defiantly want to follow along with Ben and Veronica to the bitter end. This is a must read and I highly recommend this.
