I love my chips. It is my favorite go to snack when I am blogging or catching up on my I.D. channel programs. Now that I am watching what I eat, chips have became a huge problem for me. Cheese puffs and hot cheese popcorn are not on the list of healthy foods. Trust me I have looked. I have heard of Food Should Taste Good chips and thought I would give them a go.
I received a great sample box of chips. However as I sat there eyeballing them, I couldn't help, but wonder, what if they don't taste good? I have a thing with diet food or foods that claim that they are healthy for you. Majority of the time they taste like cardboard boxes or have a weird flavor I just can't stomach. So the chips and I had a long staring session before I talked myself into trying them out.
I was prepared to hate them. I was determined to spit the chip out at first chew. However something amazing happened, well least for me. I actually liked them. I was pleasantly surprised that the flavor was wonderful. I really had a thing for the Cantina chips. They are just like Tortilla chips!
That bag was gone in record time. I couldn't stop eating them. The kids pounced on the Chocolate chips! They loved them. Trust me, it is like pulling teeth to get my kids to like, "good for you snacks", especially chips. I am really excited to have a great brand of chips that not only tastes great, but are healthy also. This is going to be our go to snack source for trips to the beach, park, and barbeque's this summer.
So the answer is to the question is YES healthy snacks should taste good! They should have flavor and pop. Food That Should Taste Good has proven that to my family! I have officially been chipped.
