We Have A New Pope..Or They...Or Whoever

So finally the white smoke flowed out and now there is a new Pope. I am happy for the Catholic church and its members. I, however, don't understand the point in having "politics" in the church. I worship Jesus, and Jesus alone. Yes and God too, but Jesus and God is the same, yeah you get what I am saying. I am a Christian, the non fundie kind. My family used to be Irish Catholic, but they came here long ago to this great land and decided to switch things up. I am not the typical Christian I guess. I don't believe you have to go to church every Sunday to "find" or "talk" to God. God is in my heart, he is not lost. He hasn't ran away or do I have to issue an ABP on him. I know where he is at all times. If I want to talk to God, I bow my head to pray. Alot of times I just have a discussion with him out right. Nowhere does it say I have to attend church or I am driving the bus to hell. Long as you believe in your heart, and try to live the right way in his eyes you are pretty much okay.

I have been to many churches and there is more drama up in there, then out in the streets. Backstabbing, gossiping, and members are power hungry to just be seen as a bigwig. Sorry I don't play "politics" in God's Holy places. Just not my scene, you know.  Yes I know there are alot of churches that are not like that, but sadly they are far and few in between. If I have the urge to hear the Word, I look up some Joyce Meyers on the Internet or I actually open the Bible up myself and read. People just don't read anymore. Its like some hidden art form and takes people off guard when you tell them your an avid reader. These are the same people that are all over Facebook, READING status updates every minute. Good grief open a book and expand your mind a little. You might out you actually enjoy it.

Okay enough ranting. Again I am happy for the Catholic church, it is not my place offend anyone.
